Even the previous model, the Phantom, was legendary for its quality workmanship and protective performance, it was especially, but not only, very popular on the racetrack.
The Phantom II is made from high-quality kangaroo leather, is pre-curved and wrinkle-free. The high emphasis on the protection aspect is shown, for example, by the fact that the upper hand is kevlar underlaid with DuPont ™ KEVLAR ® branded fiber. The back of the hand and the thumb are fully padded with shock-absorbing SUPROTECT® special foam. The ankle shell is made of titanium. kevlar and ring fingers are additionally protected with DuPont ™ KEVLAR ® branded fiber. Edge protection through GRP shell with SuperFabric®-brand material. The balls of the hands are protected with highly abrasion-resistant stingray skin and lined with shock-absorbing foam. No compromises have been made here.
