    The Dayton Backdraft Damper / Wall Shutter is a 30-inch by 30-inch, single panel, fiberglass shutter designed to fit most vertical mounted exhaust fans. It is easy to install and is a great accessory for your fan. The shutter features a beige fiberglass blade and a stainless steel tie rod. It has a fiberglass frame construction and is made to be used with 30 in. exhaust fans. The shutter is 3 in. deep and has a square frame of 23 in. A damper is a safety measure that must be installed in most homes with forced air heating systems and forced air furnaces. When the furnace or air handler is running, air is drawn in, and this draws in fresh air from the outside. The air is then heated, and it is pushed out into the rooms of the home.
