I've seen plenty of Mexican silver menorahs over the years, but they are all very similar to each other, very basic, with a large Star of David in the center, made of holloware.
This example, is fantastic. The base and candleholders are made of thick silver, and the backplate is not cast! The backplate is completely made by hand, it was cut, chased and repousseed! It is beautiful in person, I gently cleaned it wish some silver polish, it could use a deep, professional cleaning to make it look much better. The design of the menorah was copied from a 19th century brass menorah from Poland / Ukraine, as seen in the last photo from the website of the Jewish Museum of New York.
